LNG Service (LNGS)
MSI's LNG service (LNGS) is an interactive menu-driven modelling system for the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) market. It is a highly effective support tool for investment and chartering decisions and provides:
- A platform to access easily and quickly historic and forecasted data for all LNG importers and exporters
- A powerful analysis and simulation tool that enables the use of alternative assumptions to test market sensitivities and primary risks by modifying a wide range of macroeconomic, supply and demand inputs
The LNGS model provides historical and forecast annual time-series data from 1990 to 2015 for:
- Regional gas production and incremental export/import capacity on a project-by-project basis
- Detailed bilateral shipments in Liquefied Natural Gas in Tonnes
- Voyage efficiency factors, load/unload time and vessel speed
- LNG Carrier Employment in Mn CuM
- LNG Carrier contracting orderbook, deliveries, scrapping and fleet growth
- Future balance between requirements for/supply of LNGC capacity
- LNG Carrier required earnings, operating costs, cash flows and vessel prices
- Newbuilding, secondhand (5 to 20 years) and scrap prices for LNG carriers
LNGS is written on a Microsoft Excel® platform, and updates containing MSI's latest forecasts are distributed quarterly to coincide with the release of our biannual LNGS market report. It is available as an annual subscription containing two updates a year, distributed via email.
